SELF ADHESIVE FELT MEMBRANE |
Rubberoid / Marley Self Adhesive Felt Membrane
Where heat cannot be used through a variety of Health and Safety reasons, customers have the option of using self-adhesive felt work. These have proven very effective and much easier to install.
Over the years we have seen increased pressure from our insurance providers to get away from using ‘Torch-ON’ heat based products to the fire risk it poses during install. Marley Supastick® have the answer.
The process is as follows:

- Fitment of new 18mm marine polished ply boards giving the felt a good smooth surface in which to bond to.
- Boards are fully primed with special felt primer to enable adhesive felt to stick permanently.
- An adhesive underlay is laid.
- Fit all new folded green mineral drips around perimeter edgings. This allows water to safely drip and run off the flat roof into any guttering.
- Fit new 4mm top sheet of green mineral self adhesive felt work. Fully bonded to first coat underlay. This creates strong and durable finish.
- Fit all associated flashings, or recesses into brickwork ensuring no-leaks.
- Dress flat roof, remove all rubbish, or in some two coat 2mm applications the roof may be painted with fully solar reflective aluminium paint.
